Three thousand angels

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

Three thousand angels
Lined the shore
As gods sunrise winged cloud
Reeped messages pure
To read like a book
For each Angel to know
Who to overlook
And to whom a bow
For the rest it was time
To be taken to heaven
And so off they hovered
In paths of eleven
To doorways of homes
Where the dying lay
And say their prayer
In respect of their wholesome stay
Then open did blossomed eyes
to a rhelm ever known
To float into horizons
That they had been shown
