Creative Misunderstandings

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

All it takes,
Is to live in one place.
In which,
People are more familiar spreading...
Creative misunderstandings.
Limited to experience obtained,
From what they make up.
When truth to face they can not take.

And this develops,
Into what now people use...
To follow confusion to self abuse.
With accepting excuses,
For everything they choose to do.
If decisions made to not listen to hear,
What in their ears is heard...
Is different.

Allegations and accusations,
Become even more creative...
Than truth itself.
A truth,
No longer known for what it was.
Yet...
Defend themselves against,
Threats in their minds to find...
A way to cure and heal,
What was theirs to create to make real.

But this is more difficult to do,
If proof produced of the evidence...
Can not be found to have existed.
So rely upon denial,
And fiction to fix their ailments to solve...
With a doing of this quick.
Demand they do and regardless...
If facts and the truth,
They refuse to hear or go near it!

'But...
They are experts in the field of psychology.'

'Experts in the field of psychology?
What are you trying to imply and insinuate?
There is nothing wrong with our minds!'

'Okay.
And if this is discovered to be true,
Would you accept a few sessions...
To perhaps correct and mend,
What your perception of reality is?'

'Well...
Only if you promise and guarantee,
These sessions won't diminish or erase...
Our normalcy.'

'Maybe in time,
That's a possibility.
But let's start with one session.
To determine what affect that has first!
Then we can proceed,
With additional discussions.'

'Well...
Alright!'

'Remember...
Nothing is perfect.
And miracles to perform these days,
Are rare.'
