Wetlands

Wetlands
Natural reefs
barriers protecting shores
fragile as a blowing leaf on a gentle wind

Winged migration
nesting birds amidst the Chrystal shores
on tired wings toward destinations

A rest stop of yearly rounds
wild geese soar in formations
on a clear blue sky
gliding landings in slow motion
to the wanting eye

Along the waving beach grass
amidst the flowing tides
of marshes and the green blue sea
multitudes of organisms thrive
deep within the crimson brine

Brackish tide of organic webs of life
sanctuaries within the estuaries
diversity in deep rooted bogs alive
where interdependence on each other
helps our earth survive
