Metaphores of pomegranetes

Metaphores of pomegranetes

where the scents of seaweed and periwinkle
amidst the pebble coves
awake life's senses

Wooden boats barnacle crusted
withered in blue grey mist
bathed in a soft morning light
and half sunk into an ancient sea

Seagulls sing a mariners song
to old men’s ghosts as the soft purple skies
with  sunsets hover on a crimson shore

Shadow mists fade in the salty breeze
shades of silence tempered
separated unite as one

Into the timeless void of emptiness
we merge from memories
and metaphors of the imagination
into the cosmic breath of here and now

Still life in a darkened room we dream
Set upon an old oak chair and dark table
near window with paisley curtains
sunbeams break through saffron drapes
casting shadows onto a basket
of deep red pomegranates
and warm yellow lemons
