Proactive Actions

We...
You and me.
Live in times,
Moving away from all of us.
Much too fast.
With dreams to want and wish.
While many will still sit to stay,
Procrastinating away aspirations.
And fading promises to themselves made.
Done to do to validate,
A reminiscing to relive those 'ifs' and 'buts'.
To excuse a past to have had.
Yet a past to have had remains as is.
Regardless who attempts to revive it.
With a doing of periodic remembered visits.

Proactive should be all of our actions.
Especially with this done to teach,
To the ones still young and eager to learn.
Yearning to be shown direction.
And at least encouragement with concern.
From those who have grown older.
On the vine of life.
With experiences to have witnessed,
The ups and downs.
And wrongs to make right.

It is the young ones needing,
Encouragement to choose and decide...
That a taking of proactive action,
Is a better direction to take than not.
With a doing to look for opportunities.
BEFORE and not AFTER,
They come to arrive.
And shown to make it known,
Success is not a given.
Delivered to achieve.
No!

Success to receive seldom awaits,
For anyone believing...
They can eliminate and ignore,
Effort to keep endeavoring it.
With faith, belief and discipline to achieve.
And using action proactive,
In the field of one's choice.
Making one's voice heard loud and clear.
Creating one's own opportunity.
Before and not after,
That opportunity appears.
To let it known and shown,
One is preparing to be equipped...
To perform as an asset and not window dress.

We.
You and me.
Live in times,
Moving away from us much too fast.
And those who are younger,
Should be made aware of it.
Since only those deluded,
To fiction reality as a treasure to keep.
Should be made aware,
That treasure to protect and defend...
Has as much value,
As a four leaf clover...
Attached to a detached rabbit's foot!

Those are not the days,
Of our lives to live today!
Observe to witness.
And listen to learn!

'Uh...
But,
My parents told me...
Life to live is the best teacher there is!'

And to that, I agree.
But...
Tell me this,
What your parents told you...
Was that 'Before or After',
They decided it was time...
To medicate their minds!?

'LOL...'

Silence, children. SILENCE!!
WE.
YOU and ME.
Are living in serious times.
Now put your cellphones away.
And send your 'selfies' to each other,
Before or after school.

'But...TEACH!
You just told us,
We should be PROACTIVE.'

Trust me.
If all of our parents had been proactive?
None of us would be here!

'LOLOLOL...
TEACH GOT JOKES!'

Silence. SILENCE, children!
And for this,
I am accused for not doing my job!

'LOL...
TEACH?
YOU SHOULD CONSIDER COMEDY.
You too funny.
You should be doing an HBO special.'

Oh?
And be attacked on stage,
For being devoted to my efforts to endeavor?
While telling the truth and being honest.
Or being slapped before,
Someone else is awarded for doing it?
Class dismissed.
Get out of my face!
