Rain
it the smell of wetness all around
the laughter of a happier parent that's warm
all the muted debates covers the broken hearts
the warmth of friends that brings peace around
stuck in traffic on a wet road, fearful yet grateful
the touch of a loved one is an assurance you need
wondering about your bitter end and what it entails
yet you forget the warm of the family you love
hugs and kisses feeling like a daily routine
you take moments for granted
tears falling from the sky unites those in pain
sparks rekindled and transgressions forgiven
warm drinks and camp fire stories
families lie on a flat surface held by affections
you wonder about the future
yet its the present with the most joy
About this poem
this is just those moments we appreciate during a rainfall but take granted everyday
