ill minded

so here we stand again with flaunted emotions
a white heart turned dark, never could revive such
always stood with pride when you walked by
now its just a pity to not be able to say this to you

i have admired what you were and still i do
drama has turned the most of my mind numb
can i just tell you what i have become with you around?
forsake all those that i held dear for a chance with you

i could let you know how i love your cherry lips
yet taste i not know of, how demining it was
we shared laugher and love clouded the room
never saw me as a partner i yearned for more

here i am bleeding a piece of my mind on a piece
a piece of paper that literally means nothing to you
flirted with the devil just to get a taste of death
got to a point a soul was just worth a few pennies

how much does your go for on the open market?
does it count more cause you smell so nice?
or is it worth less cause you broke mine?
maybe i am just a deluded man chasing an angel

made peace with the illusions you provided
they were more for you than they were for me
how a wheel of fortune favours those fortunate
for the cursed can only know bitter worlds

mythological creatures you praise and adore
wonder how to become a nonexistent creature
might turn your interest but its worth a try,
would chase you across seven seas, you still illusive

About this poem

After feeling rejected by the one you love you kinder feel gloomy but rather i was left with a glimmer of joy knowing that its with great difficult that such decisions are taken. At first you start to think maybe love is just a hoax, a marketable idea and then you realize that even those that offer rejection do it out of love or fear of love whatever one it is, they are well within their rights to do so.
