tangerine

genoveva del orbe 1965 (santo domingo)

Tangerine

Still and silent,
I imagined her soft voice
in silence she
poked me with an intense gaze
from its orange roundness
do not delay in touching its soft and rough skin
in the act of a magician I touched it
release in fruitful trance its flavor
sweet, magical, sacred
amber energy ran through my being
still and silent
you no longer poked me with your eyes.
 I ate your sweet silence.
