the hair poem

Hair tossed and tangled all around, no comb in sight or can't be found!
Does grandma's hairs,
 have more silver than before,
or is there flour in it,
and I'm 'magnin more?
Reddish curls on playground boy,
he pulls our hair-
his angry ploy!
I love the hair on daddy's head,
(I'm glad that he and mommy wed)
some spots are bare, there's room for more,
I'll buy him some at a hairy store.
baby's hair, oh smells so sweet!
I kiss her head, then I repeat.
Mommy's hair is long as rope.
my brother's hair is gone from dope.
neighbor's hair has icky smell,
cigars and gasoline...oh well
my dolly's hair is shiny bright,
it matters when I bed at night.
and grampas hair, I can't ignore,
says he lost it in the war.
and teacher's hair looks like a nest,
the place where all the birdies rest.
my sister's hair is wild and furious,
I watch it bounce cos I am curious,
so, my best friend whom I adore,
got cancer, now it's on the floor.
my bird who speaks to me has said,
MY hair's the feathers on my head!
and then my dog, a proud rare breed,
says ''I'm a bald dog'' so hair --who needs?
oops- mommy's voice floats thru the air,
to tell me, time to wash my hair,
~I'm hiding now, up in the loft,
she knows not that I've cut mine off!

City born, farm raised, we milked the cows and grampa would man the tractor, tho it hurt like hell thrashing a body around! Words would come to me as I worked that farm, and fill my head like a cold does, but with a good feeling, like a massage on my neck, or shoulders. I meant to write a funny poem with much truth for my sister and I. Hope y'all smiled. We need more smiles. more…
