Oscarzizing

Oscarzizing
Dracornian times are upon us, drinking anything to excess, even plasticized water fills the bill
Newscasters cast in hollywood scripting, oscarzizing news reports to new lows, big ratings
This is heaven, mind over matter, doesn't get any better, a recurring theme, time and again

Where do we go after the digital afterlife shines on, flickering when the power runs slow
Back to the skies we go, past the son, where the nearest light is four million years old
And past that, the lights even older, up to twenty eight billion years ago, like dead time
Nothing in the sky is where it seems to be, moving this way and that, seeing where it was

Printed pages filled with negative space, the blank page pushes the letters into our heads
Lines pop in and out, of consciousness, some lost forever, others, drifting slowly by, caught
But pictures packed with images on the same page, people walk away, not seeing a thing

No one can know the truth, maybe we did long ago, but now facts are composed stories
One thing for certain, no one speaks the truth, every statement hollowed with self interest
Mother Nature wasn't always a human, was once a dinosaur, and later, she was a mare
