Please

I was standing too close to the mirror to see what you see
Blinded by myself interest
Too much energy lost to foolishness
How could I not notice I was losing a fight that can't be fought
Or running a race that can't be ran
but every day I wake up standing too close to the mirror
too much pride to just say hello too much ego just to give acknowledgment
So what do I do with time and
how many deep breaths I have before I take my last before I realize the only image in the mirror that is broken it's me

So as I lay me down to sleep
my eyes spoke to my hands
saying if I were to go blind would you see for me and the hand said it to the eyes of course

And the hands asked is there something wrong and the eyes said can you please do me a favor in the hands said of course
Can you call my brothers and sisters and the hands said of course how many brothers and sisters do you have and the eyes said there are five of us in our last name is senses and tell them that it is me I need help

As I stand in front of the mirror one last time I noticed that my smile look bigger my eyes had more structure the breath that I breathe was deeper so was I backed away I look back again and realize that I am more than I say I am I am that I am because I believe in me and all I had to do was just stop take a deep breath and realize that I am somebody and a nobody at the same time so I'm going to just be me
