Treasure of My Forthcoming Years

It was pouring heavily.
I was standing under the shade of a bus stop.
A girl of my age
was standing at other end stiffly.

There was no sound except pattering,
off and on whizzing of cars,
very oft chill gust let us know
the reality which was very alarming.

The occasional lightning and thundering,
made her so frightening.
It seemed, she needed desperately a company
to get a strong ally of comfort and warming.

I wanted to be drenched.
My heart wanted to quench its thrust.
We were complement of each other,
So both of us wanted to be saturated.

All of a sudden a sound of screeching
brought me in sense.
A bus bound to her destiny,
stopped my heart's tinkling.

Before boarding the bus,
she turned and cast me a glance.
I knew what treasure it would provide
for my forthcoming years.
