Heart Afire

Desire equals a heart afire dancing on a high wire.
Options for honest expression: Nothing dark or dire.
One may not the choir yet dandelions still admire.
Toward lofty ideals we aspire, learning from an old friar.
Silent tongue one speaks to lift others out of the mire.
Rambling on an ancient lyre may t times inspire.
