Ode to the Almighty Jah

Karl Constantine FOLKES 1935 (Portland)

JAH, JAH — Jamaica.
A JAH wah mek Jamaica.
Giv tanks an preiziz.
Outa meni, WAN piipl.
A JAH wah mek Jamaica.

Lord, God, Jamaica.
To God, who made Jamaica.
Give thanks and praises
Out of many — ONE.
To God, who made Jamaica.

About this poem

As an island nation basking in the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica is mightily blessed by the Almighty, and his people eternally give thanks and sing praises.
