6:00 am

the demise of our love is one that came slowly
like the first beams of moon stretching their arms across open plains
gradually spreading their fingertips until no grass was left untouched
bathing the earth in its harsh light and infinite coolness
I saw it coming in your actions
you stopped wanting movie nights because you were too busy going out with that other guy
you stopped texting me first
you stopped asking how my day was
I saw it coming in your words
you stopped calling me baby
you stopped saying I was the love of your life
you stopped giving me full answers
you stopped saying “I love you”
all of that hurt
but it was okay
because you were still there
and bits of you was better than none of you
but now
the most painful part remains
that even though you are a stranger
your eyes is still the one I look for everywhere
