Patience

Not yet
Not now
Maybe later

Just one more thing I desire that remains out of my grasp

Another failing
Another obstacle
Another delay

How can they expect you to finish
When they keep moving the finish line?

Almost
One day
Some day
Eventually

These stupid filler words no longer offer me hope or comfort
They are bland platitudes spoken unconsciously to remove any accountability

You'll get there
It's coming
Be patient

F*ck patience

Patience is a commodity afforded to those who are not clawing for survival

Patience is a word to make them feel superior for not having to fight for their place in this life

F*ck patience, f*ck you

I have waited
I have done my time
I have given time the space it claims it so desperately needs only to watch it piss it away in procrastination

Why is that my problem?
Why must I fix your shit?
Why am I responsible for things out of my control to obtain basic needs you so carelessly throw to the side?

You are responsible, you fix it
But don't tell me to be patient

I am owed a debt that cannot be repaid
And I intend to collect
