I CRY TO YOU

Madpoet 9187 (Nairobi)

Ode

CRY OUT TO YOU O LORD BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WILL ANSWER ME,
SO TILT YOUR EARS TOWARDS ME NOW AND LISTEN TO MY PLEA.

Dear lord I am not a master of my mind,
But I am focused on weeding all that is unkind.
Let each thought I evolve be by your teachings, dear lord!
And just as I think, comfort my heart with your great reward.

Oh Lord, from whom nothing can be hidden, Reveal the thoughts I have that are forbidden,
Show them to me, each and every to the last,
So I can banish these thoughts deep into the past.

Let my mind instead think of only pleasing you,
Cloud my thoughts with love and may I lack any evil clue,
Reveal your love to me in all its unique splendor,
Give me strength and mold me into a love sender.

Oh lord! I want to sow and reap by your strength,
I want to plant and gather in length.
Great God of justice be just to me,
I have great desires, so let my future be.

O lord hem me by your grace and grant me health,
Weave me into a Sophic, well deserving of your wealth.
Heighten my awareness of being part of your spectacle,
Teach me to appreciate the gift of your great miracle.

To the God who loves me the most,
The creator, who lives on,
This I pray and believe AMEN
