Can you tell me why
The deepest part of my soul
The place I believed
Was forever broken...
Always comes alive
Whenever
I am with you

Was it chance we met
Or was serendipity the gift
That brought us together
Whatever the reason...  
I can't ever
Imagine
My life without you

About this poem

Written for my wife. She is the one I go to when I need reassurance. She lights up my soul whenever I'm near her.

David Marchant

I've been writing poetry since I was in High School. My poems have been inspired by many things; nature, love, romance, grief and my own journey with PTSD. Three of my poems about PTSD have been published in a national magazine.     Every week give her a treat, flowers, a special pin, go for a walk, a lover's kiss
