Springtime Focus

Douglas H. Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)

The red tulips and yellow daffodils are there
And in the green grass so fair
The lowly yellow dandelion wants to share
So smart, it always seeds itself everywhere !

Blue sky and bright sun to filter in,
Morning dew on the grass clover so white,
Sparrows, squirrel, or butterfly to give us a smile
A slight breeze moving leaves gives us more delight !

People walking their dogs for a daily run,
I see a keen cyclist biking with a real zest'
A young couple, walking and holding hands in the sun
From  youth to elder, who is the best ?

Window gazing is my art
I never get bored with what I see,
An old retired gent, the end of life is just another part
My memory tank is full, the body is running on empty !
