Reality

There will come a day
When your enemy is yourself,
You can't hide it, it's on display
But sometimes on a book shelf !

It wasn't always that way
My life's trials were always defeated,
Youth with it's strength and no decay,
My life went forward, never backwards!

The real reward of life
Are many but you must earn them,
What you need is a helpmate, the name is WIFE,
No man is an island, she is the greatest gem !

Two is better than one
When one is down, the other picks you up,
That helping hand is the reason
Love conquers all, you never give up !

The love that binds us together
Keeps us strong throughout the battle,
Through thick and thin, we never surrender
Life is planned, not a gamble !

Shared agape love is the answer
A love nurtured and constantly growing,
Reading the Book of Life, to be our anchor
Steadfast and sure as the billow roll, gives us meaning

But when the love is severed
You will find out that life is a highway,
The milestones are the years
The ruts, pitfalls will be there everyday !

Although this is a very steep and rough road
The traffic is always one way,
The narrow way to the gates of splendor
Where I get a golden mansion for me to share !

The moral of this story is
When you are old, sick and everything hurts,
Just say life was still good and on the contrary
Four score, plus, it was worth the effort !
