Ukrainian Fight For Freedom!

Through sadness, madness, miserable disdain,
Cruel dictator greed, mayhem, death, and pain.
Allies imploring a tyrant end of reign.
Zelensky’s request for air defense is sought.
NATO decision devastatingly naught.
Membership reserved for a premium lot.
Merciful deliverance; all life at stake.
Captivity, demise; civilian towns shake.
Cease all ruthless killing for God’s sake!
Swiftly terminate genocide, collusion,
Hinder propaganda, evil delusion.
End Russian troops' savage, bloody, intrusion.
Putin’s end through history notorious!
Ukraine will sing again victorious!
Restoring freedom forever glorious!

About this poem

My heart goes out to the Ukrainian people who are struggling to merely survive. For those left behind losing loved ones and their livelihoods is on my mind daily. The soldiers and civilians alike are suffering. This poem is meant to tell the story from my perspective and displays the hope in my heart that the Ukrainian people stand victorious in the war's final end.

Timely said, for so many are dead!
No choice, no voice—Oh, what dread!
So this poem came to the head,
Among many great poems I chose instead!

    Agree with this writer
    Stand by his/her side,
In the end, when votes are in,
    May he/she stand with pride.

My poem as well is about the war,
Wasteful resources from shore to shore,
More than the rubble are the lives lost forever,
    Children, fathers, mothers, replaceable—never.

Cry with you, brother and sister, my.
Helpless and fearful of days gone by,
Wondering how long we must pray and cry,
To say to this war forever be gone, goodbye!
