Shadow of a Satellite

there is a presence of sense
though not in clear site
a cryptic interchange
in the black of night

he stuffs his maw
but starves his mind
instant bliss
you know the kind

wise to eye
the cult of creeds
deceased concern
the scale of needs

bared in white light
steady is his wade
clever to the hope
veiled in shade

a tragedy of growth
a comedy of might
some things never change
in the shadow of a satellite

About this poem

this is a short romp about blind rage ... willful ignorance ... and unprovoked attacks on perceived enemies.
