In my quest

In my quest, I mean a search
I've seen friends becoming enemies
I've seen money spilling blood in
families
And I've learned to trust nobody but
me
I've endured a painful sting from a
honey bee
And I saw that the sweetest things
are products of pain
So I learned to appreciate the rain

In my quest, I mean a search
I read books to prepare for my moves
I wrote books to trace my own moves
Morris Schwartz said "do not when you
die to discover that you have not yet
lived"
So I'm packing my bags
The wheels of change are in motion to
print new tracks

In my quest, I mean a search
I've learned to search for who I am
against the world to find myself in it
And the only place to search is within
my soul

In my quest, I mean a search
I learned how to die so I could live
So I pack my bags
And the quest goes on.
