Fear for my sister's

FEAR FOR MY SISTER

I carry fear these days, a fear attached to my heart
I carry prayers these days, I cry for my sisters when they far apart.
The protectors have become the perpetrators.
My sister lives in fear, she’s starting to fear me now.

I carry fear for my sister these days, she is harassed based on her Gender.
I fear for my sister these days, her humanity is vandalised.
Her dignity reaped of her spirituality, her soul left empty
With a wraith that takes three showers a day
But never seem to clear of her memory.

I carry fear for my sister, her innocence in this world
Comes at the price of wicked man.
I fear myself these days, wonder is this a disease
Sent from above to punish my race.

I fear myself these days, my aunt has lost her life at the hands of
My uncle, my mum has lost her sight at the fist of my dad.
The choir lead singer has lost her voice in submission to the choir master
The girl that sits in front of me in class has lost faith at the
Unpleasant time from the math's teacher.

I fear myself these days, the tense vibrations in the air
Has stolen the natural mystics that brought hope
To my sister.
I fear my fellow countrymen these days.
