Dark Dreams

In the quietest part of the night, When you hover between dark and light,
When you hover between dark and light,
Wondering if you can float away on dreams,
Hoping they won't turn into screams,
Praying that the slow shattering piece by piece of your heart stops,
The intense sharp pain of your soul to ease and quiet down,
You lay under the dark and dreadful clouds of all your inner thoughts,
Grasping onto the smidge bit of hope that maybe one day the racing of all the evil dark dreams finally fade into sheer nothingness.

About this poem

This poem is how I am feeling deep within my mind when I am having a depressed episode as I struggle with different forms of mental health issues.
