Beloved Buds

If I die young, my love,
Please pick the rose bud
that my body left behind.
plant it in a crack,
on your broken heart,
let my spirit go on
to sprout and to thrive
through the eyes of my angelfaced boy
with the disguise of the devil.
a grapevine of roses covering your heart
a place where the grieving can step aside from judgementalness inside
And by planting their beloved buds
creating life in the cracks ive left
on your heart
that you doubted
would fully heal
This garden is home, my love
if I die young, please let me go home
