It’s So Easy

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Poor girls with kittens and gold mines with gold
They both can be purchased before they get old
The girls can be easy until it gets hard
And then they say: Mister you’re going too far

They’re looking for husbands that won’t be too bold
The cats are still hungry so they must be sold
The price is debatable so is their health
They lie and they cheat for some physical wealth

But don’t call them easy they won’t like that
Because you’d do the same if you had a cat

Gold mines are dirty but that’s not a crime
Poor girls are dirtier and easier to find
