Forget Not The Night

Beauty came fourth, filling my eyes with desire, what could this be if not love beginning to bloom.
I embrace the time of waiting, for it holds hope that the moment would soon come that I finally hold you close to me and feel your warmth.

I imagine the softness of your lips, I would savor the taste of your kiss and remember it always.
Pull me into that moment, be with me now or leave me, but I already know you won't stay.

Could there ever be a chance for you and I after all,
doesn’t time hold hope? Bittersweet is how It all ends, just a memory of a moment that I never had.

I’ll never forget the night beauty had risen up to kiss me, only to leave me in the agony that is love.

About this poem

This poem is about loving someone that doesn't love you back but yet still holding onto the little bit of hope that they will love you in the end. It's about aching for someone and loneliness of not being able to be with them. But to have them in your life is better then not at all so you suffer with the love that can't be expressed to them
