Betrayal

You were the stability
To my shaky life
You were the sturdy pillar
To the frail foundations of mine
You were the ecstatic cure
I forever longed
For I always believed in your flimsy vows
The lies you persistently told.
You promised me forever
Forever that was no more than a mirage
Forever love, forever joy, forever support
But that forever has bygone
And now I see the ferocious dagger
The weapon used sinfully
To stab me in the back
You shattered my heart
You wrecked me apart
My spirit is crushed
I scream in agony
But can't find solace for my numbing heart
For that is the price I have to pay
For my loyalty, devotion, and trust
You hurt me so much
That inside, I died
And now what is left
Is only grief on my part
With your true self revealed
You can never be redeemed
Your betrayal
Imprinted forever in my heart
And forever to me, will always last
so Goodbye to all the broken promises
And the equally spiteful lies
