MALEVOLENT FIENDS

Malevolent fiends are sleeping
Hiding safely underground,
Cowering from the burning rays
Waiting until the sun goes down.

Malignant creatures rampaging
Through the streets at twilight,
Pillaging, plundering, murdering
Throughout the loathsome night.

Abhorrent beings are lurching
Along like zombies of old,
Barely used to walking around
Since their corpses went cold.

Repellent graveyard horrors
Indescribably awful things,
Mouldy, shrouded entities
No longer human beings.

Repulsive lifeless beasts
Out of some terrible tale,
Slinking out after Darkfall
Though in painful travails.

Malevolent fiends are hunting
Through the darkened streets,
Hoping soon to feast upon
Some fresh-killed human meat.

Obnoxious shadows haunting
Within a town called Death,
Terrifying the coldest heart
Carrying away your final breath.

Nauseating slimy foulness
Slickens this invidious land,
Like rivers of blood flowing
Across the burnished sand.

THE END
