Baseball

I was never the best at baseball
But I played it and was big and tall
At practice coaches’ kid would always get the most help
While everyone else watched without being able to yelp
As time went on, he got better as the teams skill would be at a rest
But then we got better everyone was becoming the best
We played games and started a new season
But then our games halted without reason
Turns out the other teams didn’t want to play
Because our coach made their feelings gray
After a couple weeks without games
I got invited to guest play and live up to their claims
I liked the team and have friends on it
The coaches were equal and didn’t through a fit
I was a solid part of the team
Playing was like a dream
But my past players needed me back
For we had started to play for the plaque
