don’t remember

I still remember your favourite colour
it was green
I attached that memory to nature,
like grass, and trees, and the stems of the flowers
now whenever I step outside,
I'm reminded of you.
do you remember my favourite colour?
I still remember your family very fondly
I remember your father
and the way he would never show up for you like you always hoped he would
I remember each night you cried over him
and your let down heart
do you remember any of my trauma?
I still remember how you broke up with me,
and I still remember how easily the words had slipped
out of your mouth.
do you remember the way I reacted in that moment?
and how it felt I was drowning?
do you even remember anything about me?
