a lot

we are drifting apart and I can feel it
you are losing interest in me
and I can see it
you tell me you’ve made new friends friends with him especially
I just know it
we were supposed to be together forever
you called me your future
and you promised it
our conversations have grown drier
the silences in between have become awkward
and I can just sense it
you let him take you out
a lot recently,
and you act so oblivious to the overthinking you cause me
and you know it
like I haven't been in love with you
since before we even met.
like you weren't the one who said
"I really hope you and I end up together”
like you weren't the one who has
always wanted the best for me
