Ears to Hear

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

You want to interpret but you can’t read
You can’t find the meaning in the things you see
The words are all written; the meaning is clear
Perhaps you don’t even have ears to hear

I could sing you the songs but you are so dull
You probably wouldn’t hear anything at all
So now in your presence I’ll say it again
You ought to fear God and not trust in man

They have an agenda and turn truth into lies
So why put your trust in any of those guys?
Learn to read plainly and decide for yourself!
Should the Word of the LORD be left on the shelf?

Every word of God is flawless!
