New Lows

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Impossible it is becoming,
To step around and not notice...
The cautious and meticulous action taken,
That ensures the depth of new lows...
Are carefully marketed.
And to whom specifically sold.

Goodbye.
Fare-thee-well and so long,
Standards to value in hearts gone to move on.
Goodbye and farewell,
All those wishes of integrity to keep intact.
Goodbye.
Fare-thee-well,
Is the act of old fashion wholesomeness.

No more does it seem,
A reaching to prioritize one's self esteem...
Should be associated,
With an ethnic pride identified...
By a kept and witnessed dignity.

'Okay?
We get it.
You love yourself.
Move you all mountains!'

More are taught to teach,
Ignorance displayed to appreciate these days.
And...
Deceiving the truth to have lies believed,
Should be one's mission and goal...
Attempted to achieve.
With this done to do,
Guaranteeing progress made.
And a future to live it successfully.
Leaving humanity in the hands,
Of creators deluding fiction to depict...
A reality to live,
Imitating the non-existence of it.

And...
So goes those new lows to achieve,
The uselessness of common sense.
Gone.
Painlessly diminished.
Chemically removed,
As a purpose to serve thinking independently.

No thoughts are needed.
Once those new lows are downloaded,
To permanently dumbdown...
The thoughtless.
Defending to protect ignorance accepted,
As a quality of life envied to have and live it!
