Hurt Feelings

I had feelings once, but nowadays they're overrated.

The day my feelings died, it tore my heart in pieces & smashed it into dust. I felt depression seep through my soul & it wore me out time after time.

People kept rapping at my door week after week & month after month as I yelled, "Go Away. Leave me alone!!!" more times than I can count. My throat was sore & my voice was hoarse for days.

I sat in my dark house with my blinds drawn, curtains closed & my lights off. The core of my soul was as dark as my house.
