Inked life of a Poet

Beautiful pain is what the sun brings
To some a curse it seems
Yet life remains
With all possibilities and opportunities
It brings failure that leaves dreams with doubt filled stains
But life never cheats determined spirits

Alcohol and drugs fill empty hearts
Perpetuated by lies and disappointments
Some give up their purposes
Defeating the ends of their destinies
Family feuds feed anger of hungry demons
Demons that live off hate and envy

I too fell
Broke down
Battered and bashed
For I mashed my dreams with my reality
Now I scream at nothing to gain something
My poetry pages are feeding off empty promises
Yet I breath life to this words
See how poetry saves my life trying to give it life.

About this poem

It speaks of life and how it serves us all the same but we respond differently. This poem also portray my relationship with poetry itself.
