You talking about.
I didn’t;
I could see
The small talk,
She just wanted
To talk to me
Not realizing
I wanted to
Talk her too.
I could see
She had
So much to say
To me,
But
I didn’t
Know how to say it.
I had to
Be careful
Because everybody
Was trying do role reversals
Since they watched me
Do one in 2017
Before I went to New York.

About this poem
Inspired by my encounter with a young woman I would work with at The British Open Pub in Venice Florida in 2019. It was all about chance encounters, and it helped lift my spirits during my journey, and to always be remembered…
