Bubble bath

stars do glitter hard and sharp
in black of night before daylight
headlights spear straight before
piercing not the shadows of houses passed

eyes are drawn to breaking light
to windows bright shining in the night
eyes cannot see through frosted glass
silhouettes to show a bathroom there

within my mind the thoughts do flow
of what visions lie there inside
what wonders might behold my eyes
it here I might within its hold

white porcelain filled with bubbles lite
twists of steam dancing in the air
a duck the floats on rolling waves
from wrinkled toes that wither there

glittering droplets of oily sheen
as a thousand jewels there do lie
on rounded flesh of pearly white
that slowly moves with languid ease

hearing song so softly sung
words of beauty so barely heard
seeking not to disturb the slumbering ones
sleeping so quietly within the home

curls of hair from moisture tight
glittering sparkles with droplets bright
conceals not what lies beneath
treasurers barely shown onto the sight

down ribbon black and dark of night
headlights do spear into the night
thoughts of wonder are within
as I do travel without the view
