Unwanted

Searching the mind hurt and unwanted
Remembering things better off forgotten
 A word of love, an act of lust
The people who have turned to dust
Somewhere in this world laced with lies
A hero falls, a child cries
What to do and what to say
Why isn't there more time in a day
 To fix the broken souls that roam
Who can never call somewhere home
Through all the regrets and tears and pain
 Who take to lying in the rain
Because they're abandoned hurt and bruised
And know the love received was just a ruse
To use and watch them kneel and cry
And leave them with no other thought than why
Why won't we try to help these souls
With cracks and rips and chipped out holes
 but no, we leave them in the dust
 And betray their one last slip of trust
