Rise and Fall

The angel will walk with a high chin
Destroying the surrounding darkness
With a body of steel, the bliss will sink in
With nothing standing in their way

The angel will have a perfect world
Where it’s beauty and peace can’t be described
Hope and desire that once tried to break free
Will now become a reality

The angel will be blinded
By what was too good to be true
The sinful corruption of the outside world
Will ominously corner the one who never knew
In a way, that at first, won’t be seen
Oh, the inevitability of the harsh truth can’t flee

It won’t flee
It can’t flee

The truth and darkness has always been there
And it will sadly never leave
It is just masked by false hope
For the angel, that’s the way it has to be

Wretched feelings intensify
As time solemnly passes by

As time passes by
The tears grow thicker
The darkness is getting
Nearer and nearer
Despair is consuming the angel’s soul
As realization hits
And they are alone
Alone in their mind
And alone as a whole
As time seems tedious
Hope is shattered
The angel is lonely
But it’s fine that way
Because nothing
Not even themself
Even matters
They try to turn away and ignore
But the angel that once lived isn’t there anymore
Evil itself has a seductive tongue
That’ll eat the heart of someone people once loved
You can’t turn back or look away
For evil  is born in some with less fortune
And is always lurking at bay

The girl will walk with a head held low
With darkness destroying any non-corrupted piece left inside
With a tear flowing down, her face goes blank
Realizing the person they are
In their cold
Dead
Heart
