My Faraway Friend

I just looked up in the sky
and saw a plane passing by.
To where you are my friend
I wish I could fly
for a visit of shopping,
dining and wine, and
time.
Time to spend.
Time to waste.
Time to let the day spin
as it may.
As time speeds away,
I’m thinking if you today.

About this poem

A poem written while thinking of a friend and happened to see a plane in the sky while doing so. This is the first poem I wrote some time ago and I don’t remember the exact date it was written. It was poetry of the day on poetry.com.
