My Past Stays With Me Always

I want to shout
For my past to
Get away from me
And just leave me alone,
For I am stressing
Every day
And it's all my past's fault.
Anxiety freezes me
Into slow motion,
Making it so hard
To breathe,
For my past just
Won’t stay away.
It stays here always,
Waiting for all
The opportunities to scare me.
My past is always
All around me,
Forcing its way to me
So I can’t shove it off
Or pretend
It isn’t there at all.
I scream in my head
For it to go away
And stop terrorizing me
So much.
I don't want
My past here anymore.
