Couplets about their Subjects, #1.

Kaleb Suedfeld 1995 (Ontario)

To practice poesy, devoid of love,
Dos't any misery compare thereof?

To hope for words all value dight,
Whilst soul's express moves through bleakest night,

Oh, if not the eyes descry, then can't tongue describe,
Wherefore blandeth 'comes the lines, hardly alive,

And to the house, lost meanings mean nought
In words of deeper feelings: aught.
