If your life was
Turned upside down
So suddenly at
Such a young age,
Only to find that
Your so-called kid assaulter
Is still near you
After so many years?
He’s still here,
But have I seen him
Before recently?
I was so sure he
Hadn’t changed at all;
This is so unfair,
That I still have to be
Haunted by memories
And him.
Does he even
Still remember
As well as I do?
Does he even
Still remember me,
The young girl who suffered
At his younger hands?
About this poem
This was before I stopped blaming him. I didn't think about who taught him what he did to me, so my goal was to only be able to one day forgive him at the time. This was also when I found out that he was in my school several years later. I didn't see him, but I heard his name be called on the speakers.
