Spoiled Allegiances

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Obtaining wealth and accompanied status.
Given to earn and invested kept to keep.
In places where false faces,
Are not paid to uphold...
Their dignity to identify publicly to preach.
Can be a difficult tightrope to walk.
With it done to prove,
One's integrity means more...
Than things acquired to possess.
Especially if one is known,
To live a spoiled life.
Deluding to fiction a false reality.
Made to believe without being perceived,
As a hypocrite who worships...
The convenience it is to dupe and deceive.
