in a pot
on the glass not gas
stove
top of the day
spins not like the sun
stiff sticks of pasta
like straw stuffed in
a scared crow's sleeve
soon to be
dusk's dinner
as the moon moves
up an inch
and the fire
ball in the sky
says so long
no, it's not done yet
as wheat stalks
a thief
in the night
