Readying
What if, the breeze its course has fled,
lower not the fullness of the fire in the hearth,
who knows, the journey may be tough ahead.
What if, an effort has fairly bled,
spare no goblet of the wine of faith,
who knows, how many may be spent ahead.
What if, the pale over garden has spread,
wear no frowns this blustery autumn,
who knows, the winter may be fierce ahead.
