Heart Surgeon

He saw my tears and rescued me
God listened closely to my plea
He knew that I was in distress
And so, he opened up my chest

We’ll need a little surgery here
To slow the beat and calm the fear
But I won’t worry, I know the surgeon
As cutting goes, he ain’t no virgin

The Word of God cuts hard and long
But in the end, we’ll sing a song
I cannot hate; the fear is gone
And now I want to sing along

He put a new song in my heart
The song is good; its off the charts
It’s a little country and a little rock and roll
I like to sing it all the time, it really soothes my soul

The Lord has really blessed me
And I am very grateful
Why don’t you sing along with me?
Stop being so hateful!
