Discombobulated Universe

Brooks Smith 1981 (AL)

Weather mercurial
Rearranging
Plans, things and thoughts.

Spring hiding
winter draining
stuck in a naught.

Limbs cold
nature callous
The living just Confused.

Days short
nights long
birds black and bruised.

Moon dances
sun hides
awaiting to emerge.

Dopamine drops
depression rises
anxiety starts to surge.

Bi-polar land
heartless  skies
gray polluted air.

Trees naked
grass deceased
animals in their lair.

Flanges crossed
hands in prayer
the universe buys and sells,

Golden tickets
to Chapman cars
to escape this artic hell...
